Mr. Cocke graduated from the University of Texas @ Austin with a B.B.A. in Finance. He later earned his M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
He is a 30-year veteran of commercial & residential real estate encompassing sales, leasing, tenant representation, development & construction with a total transaction volume exceeding 2 million square feet.
In 2008, he started a development & construction company in Austin, TX. In 2017 Huffman Development was recognized by the Austin Business Journal as One of the Fifty Fastest Growing Companies in Austin. Mr. Cocke sold Huffman Austin in 2019 and then relocated to Houston.
Mr. Cocke now resides in Laredo, TX and is actively developing industrial properties in that market; he also provides development project management & construction management services to developers & landowners around the State of Texas.
Mr. Cocke taught Personal Financial Planning classes for CBRE from 2001 – 2003, twice earning the prestigious Benjamin A. Banker Award for Educational Excellence. In 2022 he taught a principles of real estate course for the University of Houston Clear Lake and currently teaches continuing education courses for members of the Texas Realtors Association.
